Sectional Hydraulic Control Valve: The 100 L/min Option

You've got a machine that's been running a 60 L/min valve for years. Now the cycle times are stretching out, and the pump is pushing more oil than the valve wants to pass. So you look at the next size up-140 L/min-and think, that's a big jump.

It is. And sometimes it's more than you need.

Where 100 L/min fits

A lot of mid-size equipment runs a pump right around 100 L/min. Not the biggest machines on site, not the smallest. The DCV100 is sized for that.

The internal passages are matched to the pump. Oil moves through without being forced. But if your pump is consistently putting out more than 120 L/min, you're better off going to the next size.

The DCV100, briefly

Sectional valve. 100 L/min nominal flow. 350 bar operating pressure. 1 to 12 sections. Manual, pneumatic, or electro-hydraulic control.

Key figures:

Nominal flow: 100 L/min

Operating pressure: 350 bar (35 MPa)

Section count: 1 to 12

Internal leakage: 15 cc/min at 160 bar, 50°C

Ambient temperature: -40°C to +80°C

Viscosity range: 12–400 CST

Surface treatment: phosphating, 48-hour neutral salt spray

Not all functions run together

A loader uses boom and bucket at the same time. Steering? Usually not. An excavator overlaps arm and bucket, but travel is a separate move.

The DCV100 is sized for the flow that actually runs together, not the sum of every circuit. If you're running four or more high-flow functions at once, total flow can go past 100 L/min. That's when you need the bigger valve.

Coming from a 60 L/min valve

The sectional design doesn't change. Same through-bolt pattern, same stacking method. If your manifold was built around the DCV mounting pattern, the DCV100 may drop right in. Check the footprint first-before you order, not after.

One number worth knowing

A 6-section configuration is 326 mm long. The outline drawing also shows an overload valve and an oblique port for a reducing valve. Those details matter on a retrofit.
