Product Introduction

A check valve does one thing. Oil goes in one direction, it passes. Oil tries to go back the other way, it stops. That is the whole job.
Take a cylinder holding a load. The pump stops. The weight of the load pushes oil back through the lines. Without a check valve, the cylinder drops. With one, the valve closes and the load stays where it is. Simple.
Take a system with multiple actuators. One pump feeds several circuits. One circuit cycles, pressure drops, another circuit feels it. A check valve on each line keeps them separate. One circuit's pressure drop does not pull oil from the others.
Take a system that needs to hold pressure after the pump shuts off. The pump stops, but you want pressure to stay in the line for the next cycle. A check valve traps it. The pressure stays until you release it with a directional valve.
The Z2S does these jobs. It is a modular valve. That means it stacks. The directional valve goes on top. The Z2S goes in the middle. The subplate goes on the bottom. Four bolts hold the stack together. No external piping between them. Oil passes through internal passages.
No extra pipes means fewer leak points. It also means less space on the manifold. Cleaner layout. Easier maintenance. If you have worked on a hydraulic manifold with dozens of external pipes, you know the difference.
Size and Cracking Pressure
A valve does its job based on two things: size and cracking pressure.
Size determines flow. Size 6 handles up to 60 L/min. Size 10 handles up to 120 L/min. Size 16 handles up to 200 L/min. Size 22 handles up to 360 L/min. Match the valve to your pump output.
Cracking pressure determines when the valve opens. Low cracking pressure means the valve opens easily. High cracking pressure means it takes more force to open.
Size 6 has three options: 0.15, 0.3, and 0.7 MPa. Size 10 has three options: 0.15, 0.3, and 0.6 MPa. Size 16 has two options: 0.25 and 0.6 MPa. Size 22 has four options: 0.3, 0.5, 0.75, and 1.0 MPa.
Which one to pick? It depends on your system. Low-pressure systems need the low-pressure option. Fast response needs the low-pressure option. Reliable sealing needs the high-pressure option. There is no absolute right answer. It depends on the job.

The design number is the version number. Size 6 uses design number 10. Size 10 uses design number 20. Sizes 16 and 22 use design number 30. It does not affect the mounting dimensions.
Where and How to Mount It
The Z2S series modular hydraulic valve mounts between the directional valve and the subplate. The directional valve is on top. The Z2S is in the middle. The subplate is on the bottom. Four bolts go through all three layers. Tighten them, and the sandwich is locked. Different sizes have different hole patterns. Size 6 uses one pattern. Size 10 uses another. Check the dimensions before you buy.
Watch the flow direction. There is an arrow on the body. Follow the arrow for free flow. Go against the arrow and the valve blocks. If you mount it backwards, oil cannot get through, or the check function does not work.
No extra piping. Oil goes from the directional valve, through the Z2S, and into the subplate. Fewer pipes mean fewer leak points.
Company Profile
We started in 1988. More than thirty years in hydraulic valves. Our team has over 200 people. Some have been with us for twenty years. They know the product and the process.
We are a manufacturer, not a trading desk. Machining, assembly, and testing all happen in our own facility. Everything under one roof. That gives us control over quality and delivery.
We ship over 10,000 containers a year. Customers in more than 20 countries-Russia, Europe, the Middle East, South America, Southeast Asia. Our valves go on agricultural equipment in Poland, construction machines in Chile, press builders in Thailand, and mining gear in South Africa.
We do custom work. OEM and ODM are routine. If you have a drawing, we can build to it. Non-standard spool types. Special seals. Custom labeling. We have done all of these. Minimum for custom orders is 10 pieces. For standard valves, there is no minimum.

What we offer:
A 12-month warranty from the Bill of Lading date. Technical support from people who understand hydraulics. Shipping by sea, air, railway, truck, or express. Packaging in cartons for small orders and plywood cases for bulk orders.
If you need a reference in your industry, ask. We can share case summaries. If you want to see the shop, we can do a video call. Visitors are welcome too, with advance notice.
FAQ
Q: What is a modular check valve?
A: It is a check valve that mounts between the directional valve and the subplate. No extra piping needed. It lets oil flow one way and blocks it the other.
Q: What is the difference between a check valve and a pilot-operated check valve?
A: A check valve only allows free flow in one direction and blocks reverse flow. A pilot-operated check valve can be opened in the reverse direction using pilot pressure. Z2S series modular hydraulic valve is not pilot-operated.
Q: What happens if the cracking pressure is too high for my system?
A: The valve may not open fully. Oil flow is restricted. Pressure drop increases. Pick a cracking pressure that matches your system.
Q: Can I mount this valve vertically?
A: Yes. The check valve works in any orientation. Mount it horizontally, vertically, or upside down. The spring holds the poppet in place regardless of position.
Q: What is the typical pressure drop across the valve when it is fully open?
A: That depends on the flow rate and the size. At rated flow, the pressure drop is low. If you need exact numbers, we can provide test data from our bench. Contact us with your flow rate and size.
Q: Can I get the valve with a different cracking pressure than the listed options?
A: The listed options are the standard ranges. If you need a non-standard setting, contact us. We can provide custom spring settings for some sizes.
Q: How do I clean the valve if it sticks?
A: Remove the valve from the stack. Disassemble it on a clean bench. Clean all parts in clean solvent. Dry them. Inspect the poppet and seat for scoring. Reassemble with new seals. If it still sticks, the poppet or seat may be worn. Contact us for evaluation.
