When Remote Control Is the Easier Solution

In many hydraulic circuits, the operator is not sitting next to the valve. The valve is mounted in a compartment behind the operator's seat or under the floor plate, and the control signal comes from a joystick or a switch on the control panel. Running a mechanical linkage from the cab to the valve is not always practical. The WE6 series solenoid directional hydraulic control valve was built for these applications. It uses electrical solenoids to shift the spools. The operator sends a signal, the solenoid pulls, and the spool shifts.
The WE6 uses the standard NG6 (D03) mounting pattern. This is one of the most common hydraulic valve interfaces, so you can mount it on most NG6 manifolds without an adapter plate. The body is compact, and the electrical connections are made through a clear terminal housing that makes it easy to inspect the wiring.
The valve is available with DC coils (12V and 24V) and AC coils (110V and 220V). DC coils are what you typically find on mobile equipment running on battery power. AC coils are used in stationary industrial machinery that is connected to mains power. The voltage rating is clearly marked on the coil housing.
The WE6 includes a manual override pin on the solenoid. This is not the primary way to operate the valve, but it is useful when the electrical system fails or when the machine is being commissioned. You can shift the spool by pushing the pin with a small tool.
How the Valve Responds to an Electrical Signal
When the operator sends an electrical signal to the solenoid coil, the coil is energized. The energized coil generates a magnetic force that pulls the armature, which shifts the spool from its neutral position. This opens a flow path from the pressure inlet (P port) to one of the work ports (A or B). Pressurized oil flows to the connected cylinder or motor, and the actuator moves.
When the electrical signal is removed, the coil is de-energized. The spring returns the spool to its neutral position, and the actuator stops. The control is immediate and repeatable. The response does not drift over time.
The WE6 handles flows up to 80 L/min and pressures up to 35 MPa. It is available with multiple spool functions. The spool function determines the neutral position of the valve and how the oil behaves when both coils are de-energized.

Where You Typically See This Valve Installed
In industrial hydraulic power units and presses, the WE6 is used to control the direction of the main cylinders. The 35 MPa pressure rating supports the forming and cutting forces. The flow capacity keeps the cylinder moving at a responsive speed.
On mobile excavators and loaders, the WE6 is used to control auxiliary attachments such as grapples, rotating tools, or high-flow implements. The operator controls the valve from the cab using a switch or a joystick.
In hydraulic test laboratories, the WE6 is used as a directional control valve in circuits that require consistent, repeatable switching between flow paths. The stable solenoid operation makes it a reliable choice for test circuits.
Installation
Manifold and coil selection
The WE6 series solenoid directional hydraulic control valve uses a standard NG6 mounting pattern. Confirm that your manifold is designed for the NG6 interface. Ensure the coil voltage matches your electrical supply before you connect the power. A voltage mismatch will cause the coil to overheat rapidly.
Manual override
The manual override pin is there for emergencies and commissioning. It is not intended for continuous operation.
Oil cleanliness
The WE6 has tight internal clearances. Contaminated oil can cause the spool to stick. We recommend maintaining oil filtration at 25 microns or better.
Production Process
Raw Material Inspection
The WE6 begins with iron castings and steel bar stock. Every batch is checked for surface defects and material composition before it enters the production line.
↓
Precision Machining
Approved castings are machined on CNC centers. The port faces, mounting surfaces, and spool bores are cut to the specified tolerances.
↓
Heat Treatment
The spools are heat-treated to achieve the required hardness and wear resistance.
↓
Surface Treatment
The valve bodies are processed through a phosphating bath to apply a rust-resistant conversion coating.
↓
Assembly
The valve bodies, spools, springs, and solenoid coils are assembled. O-rings are seated at the mounting interface.
↓
Pressure Testing
Every assembled valve is pressurized to 35 MPa on a hydraulic test bench to verify seal integrity.
↓
Final Inspection
Before packaging, each valve is visually inspected for correct labeling, port protection, and surface finish.

Company Profile
We have been manufacturing hydraulic components for mobile and industrial machinery since 1988. Shijiazhuang Laiye Import & Export Trading Co., Ltd. operates under Hebei Onederful® Hydraulic Technology Co., Ltd., focusing on the design, production, and sales of hydraulic directional valves, pressure valves, flow valves, and specialized components.
Our production facility employs over 200 technicians and is equipped with CNC machining centers and hydraulic test benches. We manage the production process from raw material inspection through to final assembly and testing within our own facility. This gives us direct control over quality and consistency across all product lines.
We export to customers in Russia, Europe, the Middle East, South America, and Asia. Each shipment includes necessary export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
We work with OEM customers who require custom spool functions, specific voltage specifications, or alternative port configurations. If a machine requires a configuration not listed in our standard catalog, we review the drawing and confirm feasibility before production begins.
Every valve is tested on a hydraulic test bench before it leaves the shop. We run pressure tests and verify solenoid or lever operation to ensure that each unit meets the design specifications and performs reliably in the field.

FAQ
Q: What is the difference between the WE6 and WE10 series?
A: The WE6 uses the NG6 mounting interface. The WE10 uses the larger NG10 mounting pattern. The WE10 is designed for higher flow applications. The WE6 is more compact and suitable for flows up to 80 L/min.
Q: What voltage options are available for the WE6 solenoid coil?
A: The WE6 is available with DC coils (12V and 24V) and AC coils (110V and 220V). Please confirm your system voltage before ordering.
Q: How long is the service life of the solenoid coil?
A: With proper voltage matching and controlled operating temperatures, the solenoid coil is expected to provide reliable performance for the service life of the valve under normal usage.
Q: What is the delivery time for standard orders?
A: For standard configurations, we typically ship within 2 to 3 weeks.
