How We Build These Pumps

Casting

Aluminum castings arrive at our shop. We inspect each one for porosity and dimensional accuracy. Defective castings are rejected before they hit the machining line.

Machining

Housings go through precision machining. Gear bores are bored to exact size. Ports are drilled. Mounting faces are machined flat. Every surface is held to tight tolerances. Good machining means good performance.

Gear grinding

Gear teeth are ground to final size. Surface finish and clearances are checked carefully. Efficiency starts here. Too tight, the pump binds. Too loose, efficiency drops.

Bearing installation

DU self-lubricating bearings are pressed in. The axial compensation mechanism is assembled. Radial balance components are fitted. Everything must move freely but precisely.

Assembly

Two complete gear sets go into the housing. Shafts are fitted. End covers and seals are installed. Fasteners are torqued to spec. Each bolt is checked.

Testing

Every pump goes on the test stand. Both sections are tested-not one, both. Flow and pressure are verified. Efficiency is measured. If it does not pass, it does not ship. No exceptions.
