The 2FRM5 is a hydraulically operated, two-way flow control valve that precisely regulates fluid flow in both directions across varying operating conditions. Commonly used in industrial and mobile hydraulic systems, it ensures consistent actuator speed and smooth performance despite changes in pressure or temperature.
The "2FRM" series denotes two-way flow control with mechanical (manual) adjustment, while the number "5" indicates its smaller port size, suitable for lower flow applications compared to larger variants like the 2FRM10 or 2FRM16.
The valve integrates a pressure compensator and an adjustable throttle in series. The compensator maintains a steady flow rate during load fluctuations, while the throttle-set via a manual knob-controls flow from inlet to outlet. In one direction, flow is regulated; in the reverse direction, an integral check valve permits free return flow, preventing unnecessary restriction and supporting efficient cycling.
Built to international standards such as DIN 24340 and ISO 4401, the 2FRM5 is designed for subplate mounting in hydraulic manifolds. It operates at pressures up to several hundred bar, with flow rates suited to its size class, and is widely applied in machinery requiring accurate speed control of cylinders, motors, and other actuators.
