How It Works – Spool Switching & Oil Flow Control
Inside the 4WEH32 series, a precisely ground spool slides within the valve body. When the solenoid is energized, the wet-pin plunger pushes the spool from its neutral center position to either the left or right switching position. This changes the connection between ports (P, A, B, T), directing hydraulic flow to extend or retract a cylinder, or rotate a motor.
The spool switching is spring-centered – release the solenoid, and the spool returns to neutral. No external pilot pressure needed for most configurations. For high-flow or high-pressure applications, optional hydraulic pilot assist is available.
