Where This Valve Fits

The P40 is a monoblock valve. One piece of iron. No sections bolted together, no through-bolts to torque, no seals between sections because there are no sections.

Up to 7 sections, all in one solid block.

40 L/min at 250 bar. This is small equipment territory. Not the high-flow world of the DCV series. Not the mid-range of the SD series. This is for machines where 40 L/min is the right number - compact loaders, small attachments, light industrial equipment.

Some people prefer monoblock for this size of machine. Fewer seals, fewer leak points. A more compact package. Lower cost than a sectional valve with the same number of functions. The trade-off is that you can't add sections later - what you order is what you get.

For equipment that fits this flow and pressure range, the P40 Compact Monoblock Valve for 40 L/min Systems is a clean, simple solution.

A Closer Look

40 L/min at 250 Bar - What That Actually Means

40 L/min isn't going to run a large excavator. It's not meant to. It's for moving small cylinders at useful speeds, controlling attachments, handling light industrial tasks. The kind of work where you don't need 100 L/min, and you don't want to pay for a bigger valve than you need.

250 bar max pressure is enough for most compact equipment. Not the 350 bar of the larger valves, but the equipment this valve goes on doesn't need 350 bar.

Monoblock Simplicity

One casting. No stack assembly. No section-to-section alignment issues. The spool bores are machined into a single piece, which means consistent spool movement and predictable performance across all sections.

Oil Requirements

Ambient temperature: -40°C to +80°C

Operating viscosity: 15–75 mm²/s

Stay within these ranges, and the valve does its job.

The P40 Compact Monoblock Valve for 40 L/min Systems is built for compact equipment where simplicity and reliability matter more than flexibility.

How It Works

Push the lever. The spool shifts. Oil routes from P to either A or B. The cylinder moves. Release the lever, springs return the spool to center. Flow stops.

No sensors. No circuit boards. No software. Just a lever, a spool, and a block of iron.

Up to 7 sections, each with its own lever and spool. All sections share the same P port. Each has its own A and B ports.

Production Process

Raw Material Inspection

Iron castings and steel are inspected upon arrival. Each batch undergoes spectral analysis for material composition and internal defect inspection. Non-conforming materials are rejected.

Precision Machining

Valve bodies are machined on CNC machining centers. The P40 is a monoblock valve - all internal passages, working bores, and mounting surfaces are machined in a single setup. Tolerances are held to microns to ensure proper spool-to-bore fit.

Heat Treatment

Machined bodies undergo heat treatment to relieve internal stress and improve wear resistance and dimensional stability.

Spool Lapping

Each spool is precision-ground and then fitted to its matching valve body bore. Final lapping is done based on actual clearance measurements. This step directly determines internal leakage performance.

Surface Treatment

Valve bodies are phosphated. This is a chemical conversion coating, not paint - it bonds with the metal and does not peel off when knocked. Random samples are salt-spray tested to verify 48-hour compliance.

Assembly

Working sections, inlet section, and outlet section are assembled with through-bolts. Seals are from reputable brands. Torqued to specification. Operator information is recorded for traceability.

Pressure Testing

Every valve is individually tested - not spot-checked. Test items include neutral position internal leakage, pressure drop, lever operating force, and external leakage. Test data is filed with the serial number for future traceability.

Final Inspection

Final inspection confirms appearance, marking, and packaging meet requirements. Qualified units go to inventory.

FAQ

Q: Why would I choose a monoblock valve over a sectional valve for my equipment?

A: Simplicity. Monoblock valves have fewer seals and fewer potential leak points because there are no joints between sections. They're also more compact and generally less expensive. The trade-off is you can't add sections later. If your machine's configuration is fixed, monoblock makes sense.

Q: Can the P40 be used in mobile equipment like small loaders or forklifts?

A: Yes. The P40 is designed for compact mobile equipment - small loaders, forklift attachments, agricultural implements, and similar machinery. The 40 L/min flow and 250 bar pressure match the requirements of these applications.

Q: What is the difference between the P40 and a sectional valve with the same flow rating?

A: Construction. P40 is monoblock - one solid casting. A sectional valve is built from individual sections bolted together. Monoblock has fewer leak points and is more compact. Sectional offers expandability. Choose based on whether you need future flexibility.

Q: Can the P40 handle continuous operation?

A: Yes. It's designed for mobile and industrial applications with continuous duty cycles. Keep the oil clean and within the specified temperature and viscosity ranges.

Q: How does the monoblock construction affect maintenance?

A: Fewer seals to check. No section joints to inspect. Maintenance is straightforward - keep the oil clean and check lever dust boots periodically. The valve has fewer parts that can wear or leak.
