One Pressure for the Main, Another for the Branch
Most hydraulic systems run at one pressure. The pump sets it. The relief valve limits it. Everything sees that pressure.
But not everything needs full pressure. Some circuits need less.
A clamp needs high pressure to hold. The feed cylinder after it needs less. A pilot control needs steady low pressure. A lubrication circuit needs just a few MPa.
The DR Series - Pilot-Operated Reducing Valve takes the main system pressure and drops it down for a branch circuit. The main stays at high pressure. The branch runs lower, controlled, stable.
The DR is pilot-operated. A small pilot valve senses the downstream pressure. It controls the main spool. The main spool opens and closes to keep the reduced pressure steady. When the branch circuit flow changes, the valve adjusts. The pressure stays where you set it.
Three sizes cover the flow range. Size 10 handles 150 L/min. Size 20 handles 300 L/min. Size 30 handles 400 L/min. Pick the size that matches your branch flow.
The pressure adjustment range is 5 to 30 MPa. The same for all sizes. Set it to whatever pressure your branch needs. Turn the screw on top. Clockwise for higher. Counterclockwise for lower. Watch the gauge on the branch circuit.

How to Choose
Pick the size by branch circuit flow. Size 10 handles 150 L/min. Size 20 handles 300 L/min. Size 30 handles 400 L/min. Leave some margin. If your branch flow runs at 250 L/min, size 20 works but you are near the limit. Size 30 gives you headroom.
The pressure range is the same for all sizes. Set it anywhere from 5 to 30 MPa. The screw is on top. Turn it to set the reduced pressure.

Installation
The DR mounts on a subplate. Standard ISO 4401 pattern. Use the right bolts. Tighten them in sequence. Follow the torque spec.
The adjusting screw is on top. Make sure there is clearance to reach it.
The valve is directional. The ports are marked on the body. Install it with the correct orientation.
We preset the valve at the factory. Fine-tune it after installation. Watch the gauge on the branch circuit. Turn the screw until it reads what you need. Lock it in place.

Standard valves have no minimum order quantity. You can order one piece. Custom valves - non-standard pressure ranges or special seals - have a minimum of 10 pieces.
An ordering example: DR-20-30-50. DR is the series. 20 is the size. 30 is the pressure range. 50 is the design number.
