Product Information
The DBD6P is a direct-operated relief valve. It does one job: limits system pressure.
Inside the valve, a spring holds a spool closed. Oil pressure pushes against the spool from the other side. When the pressure gets high enough to overcome the spring, the spool moves. Oil flows through the valve and back to the tank. Pressure stops climbing. When pressure drops, the spring pushes the spool back closed.
That is the whole cycle. It happens fast. Hundreds of times a minute if it needs to.
No pilot stage. No external control. Just spring force and oil pressure. This makes the DBD6P simple and reliable. Fewer parts means fewer things to break.
The valve comes in one size - size 6. Maximum flow is 50 L/min. Maximum pressure is 31.5 MPa.
Five pressure adjustment ranges are available: 2.5, 5, 10, 20, and 31.5 MPa. You pick the range that covers your system operating pressure.
The adjustment is on top. Turn the handwheel or screw. Clockwise increases the pressure setting. Counterclockwise decreases it. A locknut holds the setting once you are done.
Mounting is standard. The valve bolts onto a subplate with an ISO 4401 interface. No special tooling required.

Production Process
Casting
Raw iron castings arrive from our foundry supplier. We inspect each one for porosity and dimensional accuracy. Any casting with defects is rejected at this stage.
Machining
We bore the body passages, drill the mounting holes, and machine the sealing surfaces. The spool is ground to final size. The seat is honed to finish. Clearances are measured in microns.
Cleaning
Every part goes through our wash station. Chips and cutting fluid are removed. The parts are dried and inspected for cleanliness. Any debris left at this stage will cause sticking or wear later.
Assembly
The spool goes into the body. The spring is installed. The adjustment screw is fitted. Every fastener is torqued to spec. Seals are replaced with new ones.
Pressure Testing

Painting
